Black Girl, Long Hair

As the title suggests, I am a black girl with long hair haha….but that's not what this post is about…well not so literally anyway.

A couple years ago I was featured on an awesome site: BlackGirlLongHair.com and I have used the site as a "go-to" every since. It's the perfect site for all natural girls, whether you're a first-timer or veteran, BGLH has just tons of great information flowing in all the time.

My favorite section is the Style Icon section because it features all kinds of natural hair beauties and tells their stories. It's so relatable and inspirational.

There are also sections for hairstyles, products, caring for your hair, or even salons that you can go to for your hair needs! As I said before, AWESOME :)

Valentine's Day Do

I don't wear my hair down very often; I'm usually partial to the updo because I like the aesthetic and because my hair is SOOO long that its sometimes cumbersome and it's just easier to keep it out of the way…

This Valentine's Day though, I decided to let the locs swing!

The Quick Fix

Like a good relationship, my hair is a little complicated lol….I have locs in the back and the front of my hair is not locked; I just keep it natural and do different things with it as I see fit for that day. That could be flat twits, baby locs, two strand twists, just let it fro or even straightened from time to time….I like to switch it up.

These styles can take as much as 2-3 hours sometimes depending on what I'm doing to it. TWO - THREE HOURS!!! Of course most of us don't have the luxury of a 2 hr time commitment to hair or even if we do, we'd rather spend it doing something else. So I also have what I call my "quick fixes". They are reserved for when I have to be somewhere in two hours and can't spend a whole hour fighting the fuzz atop my head.

What!? You Wanna Touch My Hair… -_-

As my use of Kat William's perturbed face might suggest, most of us (us being interpreted however you want…) don't like when people touch our hair. I mean really, what is the fascination with invading someone else's personal space and introducing your "foreign bodies" to my Head of Hair???

So, picture this…
