Blonde Braided Crown

As you remember, I am a blonde now! I have really been loving the look. It's so fun and sleek and pretty. @ReeCreations did an amazing job on my bob cut and the light airy feeling of it is just great. BUT (haha, always a but), straight hair is just so much maintenance. It can get annoying, so I found a cute little style to put it away and not have to worry about it too much. 

Even though my hair is short, my niece was able to braid up into a nice braided crown. And I styled with a jeweled hair clip on the back one day and a white flower head band another day to throw some variety in there. I think it looks great. Here are some pics!

How do you style your straight hair when you're not feeling the maintenance?

Do you think long or short is easier to deal with?

Bomb Blonde

If you follow my hair vlog on youtube, you may have noticed that I'm blonde now! (edit: I'm no longer blonde but was when I wrote this post lol. I currently am bald.) As I've mentioned before, my hair is super heat damaged and my natural curl pattern just will not come back. I've gotten so frustrated with it that I have decided to chop it all off. But of course, I wanted to have a little fun with it before I'm bald, lol, so I got it dyed blonde.

There was a little bit of a hiccup in the process. Since I had done a semi-permanent teal dye on it a couple months before, there was apparently some residual there that wouldn't lift out when Nyree bleached it...Thus, I was left with bright green hair. It was terrible lol. She put toner on it, which helped a lot but there was still a little hint of the green in there.

Luckily, the green doesn't really translate over to pictures/videos so when I look back on my moments as a blonde, it'll look like a successful attempt! Hahaha...

I think it was definitely fun being a blonde, and it's interesting to look at the photos and even myself in the mirror and feel like an entirely different person. It's also interesting that it makes me feel more dressed up also. I wonder if that is some of society's brainwashing creeping in, haha.
At any rate, I definitely love the look.
